Ultrasonic cleaned, rebuild kit, check ball replaced in the accelerator pump that was missing, and a lovely new base gasket. Hopefully not too thick for the mounting studs. This should give the Volvo a much better chance of running well. Here’s what it looked like before:

what year is that? I picked up a 73 for a buddy at scrap price years ago and it was a D-jet or some similar Bosch injection. (he wound up send it bit by bit to Finland as the Canadian spec GL had some unobtanium (in europe) bits. )

It’s a 69 144, would’ve come with dual SUs but when I got it it had one SU. I got this carb along with an IPD Weber manifold for $100 a few years ago.
